Great follow-up to the first book

I did not realize this book existed, but I was so happy to find it. I read the first book and was left wondering what had happened later. The book is written in such a descriptive tone that I felt like I was watching a movie while reading.

Another timeless classic.

This is Dafoe's sequel to his Robinson Crusoe novel. This is an excellent story that some say is based on an actual person. I encourage readers to read Robinson Crusoe first and then this book. This is another terrific book to share with younger family members. What a great way to interest children in classic fiction. Definitely worth two thumbs up!

Redundant

Ok, not near as captivating as his first Robinson Crusoe adventure on the island. I'm having difficulty finishing the book because he just goes "on and on" with the same stuff in a different setting. Two chapters are devoted entirely to religion being preached to the reader through the characters. That has its place but if I wanted a book on religion I would have purchased one in the religious section. I like his writing style very much but he ran out of fresh material...something like trying to do a good movie sequel and somewhat failing at it.
